Why buy 12V?

Manual winches require your physical strength to pull and crank the weight of your boat as it fights gravity and slowly ramps onto the trailer.

With your Powerwinch 12 volt trailer winch, your boat can glide onto the trailer by simply pressing the remote and the work is done! Fast, easy, and safe! With the 12 volt electric trailer winch, you can use a pulley or block at the bow eye to double your pulling power (which doubles the cable and halves the retrieval speed). You can get more strength out of your trailer winch but it slows the retrieval speed by 50%.

Why power-in/freewheel-out . . . or power out?

With the power-in/freewheel-out system, the electric motor pulls the boat onto the trailer yet has a clutch release that allows gravity to float the boat into the water with ease. If you need more control when deploying your boat, get the power-out 915 Trailer Winch.

*PLUG-IN POWER! Safety tip: Do not use your trailer winch as a tie-down. To prevent mishaps, use separate tie-downs to secure your boat on the trailer. Trailer winches should not be used as hoists.
